Disability and chronic illness recovery for redefining your potential

We work with the emotional and relational impact of disability, chronic illness, pain, and changing access needs. You do not need to minimize how much it affects daily life in order to be taken seriously here.

What people bring us.

People often come in exhausted by appointments, symptoms, uncertainty, or the way their lives have had to shift. Some are grieving the loss of old identities, routines or abilities, while others are frustrated by needing to ask for help or explain their needs over and over. Relationship stress, work strain, and isolation can all pile up around health changes. Sometimes the hardest part is not the condition itself, but the way life reorganizes or does not accommodate around it.

- I am tired of planning everything around my body.

- I feel left out of my own life.

- I am grieving how much has changed.

- I keep having to explain what I need.

We pay attention to what it takes to thrive, not just what it takes to cope.

How we work with it.

We look at the real effects of pain, fatigue, access barriers, and changing routines on your relationships and self-image. For one person that may mean making room for grief or anger; for a family or couple, it may mean adjusting roles, expectations, and communication.

We stay close to the everyday impact instead of treating health as an afterthought.

Questions people ask.

Q. Can therapy help if my main issue is how illness has changed my life?

Yes. That change itself is often the heart of the work. We focus on how it is affecting your days, relationships, and sense of self.

Q. What if I get tired easily or need to talk about limits?

That is completely okay. We can shape the conversation around your energy, pace, and access needs.

Q. Can you work with couples or families around illness or disability changes?

Yes. Couples and families often need space to talk through roles, care, and the strain that changes can place on everyone.
