Madhuri is an award winning and nationally recognized psychotherapist, public health epidemiologist and public speaker with over 13 years of experience working as a clinician. She has worked in almost every treatment setting possible prior to founding Thriving Mind, including emergency room, crisis response, outpatient community clinic, medical inpatient, and mobile psychiatry settings. These experiences have informed her clinical style with a keen ability to treat complex issues across the life cycle. At the national level, Madhuri is a widely respected leader advancing mental health equity in systems of care. As the queer daughter of immigrants, she has devoted her life’s work to championing health equity for populations least reached by systems of care, honoring the legacy of many of her own ancestors and family members who lived with physical and mental illness and could not get help.

Wynter is a licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly a decade of direct service experience. Wynter’s work is centered on helping individuals better understand their relationships, identity, history, and emotional experiences. Wynter has extensive experience working with adults living with HIV/AIDS, advocating for homeless queer youth in NYC, and working in supportive housing throughout NYC. These experiences helped cultivate a passion to address the injustices present in our healthcare systems and inspired Wynter to move towards clinical work with a perspective grounded in social justice. Wynter’s approach focuses on curiosity, warmth, and compassion to open a space where she can guide her patients through the intricate web of emotions without judgement. Wynter’s treatment is anchored around a deep respect for the complex intersection of identity while examining the impact societal marginalization has on the psyche. Wynter’s therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, relational and collaborative—positioning clients as experts in their own lives while offering guidance, support and advocacy.
