Depression therapy for when you feel disconnected and weighed down.
We work with people who feel weighed down, disconnected, or unable to reach the life they want to be part of. You do not have to make your experience sound smaller in order to start here.
What people bring us.
Some people come in feeling like everything takes too much effort. Others notice they have pulled away from people, lost interest in things that used to matter, or are carrying a constant sense of heaviness. Work, school, parenting, and relationships can start to feel harder to manage. Often there is also self-criticism about not being able to just shake it off.
- I feel like I am moving through mud.
- I do not enjoy things the way I used to.
- I keep canceling on people because I cannot face it.
- I am so tired of feeling behind my own life.
We make room for the part of you that feels hard to reach.
How we work with it.
We pay attention to how low mood touches thought, energy, connection, and self-worth without turning the conversation into a checklist. For one person that may mean working around isolation and self-criticism; for couples or families, it may include the strain of living alongside someone’s withdrawal or exhaustion.
We keep the work grounded in your actual days, not abstractions.
Questions people ask.
Q. Is depression counseling just talking about feelings?
No. We also pay attention to routines, relationships, stress, and what daily life has become. The conversation stays connected to how you are living now.
Q. Can I come in even if I cannot explain why I feel this way?
Yes. You do not need a clear explanation to begin. We can start with what you are noticing day to day.
Q. What if my family or partner is worried about me too and wants to learn how to help me?
That can be part of the conversation if you want it to be. Depression often affects the people around you, as well as you directly.
Q. Do I need to know whether this is depression?
No. You can come in with the experience itself, even if the language for it is still uncertain. We’re here to help you figure out what it is and how to gain relief from it.
